From the Diocese:
These are unprecedented times. The coronavirus has captured everyone's attention, but it has not taken away our faith. Our Church is alive and still carrying on its mission and St. Michael will continue to bring you the light of Christ. But in order to continue our work, we need your support.

To assist parishes like ours who do not currently offer online/electronic giving, the Diocese has provided the use of their online giving platform and created a specific "Your Parish Offertory" giving site. "Your Parish Offertory" is available on the dioceses's home page featuring the GIVING button. (Upper right).
Parishioners can also go to www.dioceseaj.org/giving.
All funds donated will be credited to St. Michael and we will be made aware of your continued generosity.
You can also mail your offertory directly to St. Michael Church, PO Box 103, 751 Locust St., St. Michael, PA 15951

Thank you for your support and may our Lord continue to bless you, our community, and our nation.

We prayerfully work to evangelize and make every effort to become more sensitive to the poor and needy, to the sick and shut-ins, to the elderly and especially to the youth of our parish, following the teachings and example of Jesus while promoting liturgical excellence in our worship of him.

DID YOU KNOW..........that the stained glass window of St. Michael the Archangel in the side door of the church is the only original window from the 1983 renovation.  This window probably dates from the 1913 church and was in the back over the main entrance.

St. Michael The Archangel
Before the 1983 renovation, the other windows were lightly colored glass.
Fr. Elwood Figurelle, pastor at the time, designed the stained glass windows that we have now.  Fr. Figurelle did not actually do the drawings, but rather suggested all of the scripture and symbols.  The windows give the history of salvation, and because Fr. Figurelle was not the best speller, they do include two misspelled words!

Fr. Figurelle is also responsible for the beautiful woodwork that is in the church.  Being a master carpenter he did the staining and designing of the elegant tongue and groove wood paneling. Also the Stations of the Cross on the hillside which still today invite us, in the midst of our daily lives, to take time for prayer and reflection.

Prayer to St. Michael
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the
wickedness and snares of the devil; may God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do
thou O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the divine power, thrust into hell
Satan  and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of
souls.  Amen.
